Farmall Cub

Farmall Cub & Plough

Farmall Cub on display

Farmall Cub the tobacco fields of Motueka.  Purchased in 1999 and restoration completed in 2000. This is a very early model of the Cub and was produced before hydraulics became a standard item.
All implements are therefore lifted by hand.  A unique range of implements were built especially for the Cub. Single furrow plough,Sickle Bar mower, Grader blade, fertiliser hoppers.
Production of Cubs continued from 1947 through until the 1970’s with a few variations in the later years.
The driving position is offset to the left which IH called ‘Cultivision.
This allowed the driver to have a better view of the ground that was being worked.

This was the first tractor we restored and over the years it has had plenty of outings.  It has even delivered Father Christmas to a kids party.  Not built for speed though.

Awarded Rowland Trophy for Best Presented Vintage Tractor at 2002 Canterbury A & P Show.
